New Strategy Center is celebrating 5 years of activity

New Strategy Center is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its creation. This moment coincided with the launch of the volume “The World of Tomorrow. What Next after the Pandemic?”, published at Curtea Veche publishing house, which contains 37 essays written by 43 Romanian and foreign authors, about the most acute questions of the present and the biggest problems related to the post-COVID 19 future.

During the five years of activity, NSC hosted 196 events in Romania and abroad, with 675 speakers participating throughout the period, including 433 Romanians speakers and 242 from abroad. We have published 22 studies, most of them focused on security challenges in the Black Sea region and the Balkans and their importance for the security of Romania, NATO and the EU. Together with foreign partners, such as LSE Ideas, the think-tank specialized on security of the London School of Economics (UK), Munich Security Conference (Germany), the Center for Eastern Studies – OW (Poland) , the Center for American Seapower, Hudson Institute or Center for the Studies of the New Generation Warfare (USA), New Strategy Center organized various conferences abroad to highlight the strategic relevance of the Black Sea region. Since March, New Strategy Center has rapidly adapted to the new situation, holding regular online debates that analyze the impact of the pandemic and the possible effects on security, economy and international relations.

New Strategy Center received congratulation messages from the representatives of several institutions with which it collaborates in its activity: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense, the Defense Staff, and also received a message from the President of Romania, H.E. Klaus Iohannis, presented by the presidential adviser, Mr. Andrei Muraru.
